Dear Families,

Thanks to all who braved the rain and ventured out to Math Night. It was so good to see all of you playing with your children. The children seemed to particularly enjoy beating their parents J

All the children should have their Math Game Kits to keep at home. They were thrilled to get them and look forward to sharing the math games with the family. Enjoy!

I'd like to thank all of you who have volunteered. I am so grateful for your time and efforts. It's particularly helpful to have volunteers in the classroom during this time as I assess the children's progress.

I've sent home a 'Family Scavenger Hunt' paper bag. This activity is designed to get children talking to family members about family traditions. In late December, we'll be looking at families around the world and this activity is a great springing off point. Please remember that this is a scavenger hunt, and it's NOT NECESSARY TO INCLUDE ALL ITEMS!

Conversation Starters:

Ask your child to sing our silly Thanksgiving Song
First Grade Nursery Rhyme sing- a- long in Mrs. Bostock's classroom
Being thankful: What does it mean to be grateful?
