Dear Families,

We are having a couple of changes with our Specials Schedule. We will know longer be having Guidance. However, as usual Mrs. D'Aran will be available to meet on an individual basis and/or with a small group. Our Specials time will be at 10:50 - 11: 40 and the schedule is as follows:

Progress Reports are coming home on Friday. There is an explanation on what is to be expected by the end of third grade on the Progress Report. Please do not be concerned if your child is not meeting the standards at this time. If I have had an area of concern I have talked with you about it. However, if you feel you need a conference, please let me know and we will arrange a time. This is a won derful class. I am thoroughly enjoying them and they work well together.

We have continued with our science unit on Motion and Force. We were able to accomplish part of the standards for this unit before the end of the first trimester. The class had their first assigned writing prompt which is used as part of the basis for their report on how they did in writing.

A few of you have asked about volunteering. Once we are settled into our new routine, I would welcome your help. Having special guests talking about their vocations and reading to the class has been one way to be able to have some of you have a chance to visit.
