If you like doing projects like these, you may enjoy reading this book, which can be found in libraries, bookstores, and the museum shop. Snakes and Ladders is a classic counting game for primary-age students.

Willy the Watchdog is a board game for telling time.

Make Five is a tic-tac-toe-style game in which players practice arithmetic facts.

Math Mayhem is a fast-paced, multiplayer game that lets students compete in real-time against other participants from around the world.

Fraction Game Tool challenges students to use fraction addition to move markers across a game board. Fraction Track is a two-player version of the same game. Both games developed by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM).

Maine Educational Assessments Home Page The Maine Educational Assessment (MEA) is designed to measure student and school progress in achieving the high academic standards set forth in Maine's Learning Results. The MEA, created as part of the Educational Reform Act of 1984, was redesigned in response to the Maine Legislature's statute creating Learning Results, which passed in April of 1996 and includes the following provisions relating to assessment.

The Maine Assessment Portfolio (MAP) supports teachers in assessing student achievement of Maine's Learning Results. This website offers educators access to standards-based task sets and the opportunity to participate in online discussions and online scoring training exercises.

LAD - Local Assessment Development supports schools in local assessment system development.  The Local Assessment Development program is an effort to provide Maine teachers, schools, and districts with valid, reliable assessments, aligned with Maine's Learning Results, suitable for inclusion in Local Assessment Systems.  These assessments are offered as options or choices as districts work to meet the challenge of Local Assessment System Development.  In addition to the assessments, this website offers educators the opportunity to sign-up to participate in the piloting of some of these assessments and a forum to engage with other educators in discussing and reviewing these assessments.
