The primary purpose of the M.S.A.D. 35's Social Studies curriculum is to help young people develop the ability to inquire about the validity of explanations and to make informed and reasoned decisions for the public good as citizens of a culturally diverse, democratic society in an independent world, now and in the future.
This will be accomplished though the study of and experiences in; civic education, historical exploration, geographic concepts, economic principals, and cultural appreciation.
