The Bee Buzzed Back to MMS.....

By Mrs. Lisa Greenblatt

The Spelling Bee Buzzed into MMS on Thursday February 4th. Ms. Greenblatt, Ms. Camp, and Ms. Mauger officiated the Bee and happily cheered on all of the contestants as they moved through several rounds of challenging words. A big congratulations goes out to all of our “Bee” contestants who participated in this year's Spelling Bee. We will certainly be cheering on our winner – Macy Morrison and runner-up - Andrew Bennington as they advance to the County Bee.

The National Spelling has been buzzing since 1925. Local winners will advance to their State Bee, and State winners will attend the National Bee in Washington, D.C. in June of 2010. Students who are interested in the Spelling Bee may find the movie, Akeelah and the Bee very enjoyable.
